About the Lecturer / Speaker
Mr. Lewis Bowling received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Appalachian State University and his Master of Sport Science degree from the United States Sports Academy. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at North Carolina Central University and teaches part-time at Duke University. He is also a member of the Academy's National Faculty. Mr. Bowling is a Personal Fitness Certification Examiner with the American College of Sports Medicine and has authored eight books including Resistance Training: The Total Approach. As a writer, he is a contributing author to various fitness publications such as Lifetime Physical Fitness and a columnist with the Durham Herald-Sun, the Oxford Public Ledger, and the Blue Devil Weekly newspapers.
