KL Team 3rd Overall Champion in Mr. Malaysia 2009

At the recent Mr. Malaysia Bodybuilding Championships, Team Kuala Lumpur was placed 3rd Overall Champion in the team event behind PDRM (1st) and Sabah (2nd) respectively.

Our boys placing are as follows:

Junior >70kg - Syed Iqbal Syed Yusof (3rd Place)

Masters - Mohd Yazid Md Din (5th Place)

Light Fly Weight - Zaidi Zainal (2nd Place)

Fly Weight - Samsulrizal Ibrahim (5th Place)

Bantam Weight - Iwan Setiawan Josef (3rd Place)

Light Weight - Hashim Ismail (6th Place)

Welter Weight - Mohd Nazri Hamsir (6th Place)

Light Heavy Weight - Ubaidillah @ Nazri Ab Latif (2nd Place)

The other 3 who wasn't successful to be placed as top six for the finals were:

Junior <70kg - Mohd Azwan Mazlan

Light Middle - Muhamad Faidzal Musa and Indra Muhammad Zukri.

Syabas to those who were placed and for those who wasn't successfully placed in the finals...we will try again harder next year at the next Mr. Malaysia 2010 in Penang.

Revamp of KLBBF 2009-2011 Main Committee Line-Up

With the resignation of the earlier KLBBF elected President Dato' Hj Sheikh Shawaluddin Yusof, JP, KLBBF Board has duly agreed to the appoitment of Mr. Subramaniam Ganapathy as KLBBF's President (the challenger who lost with the next highest votes).


The new KLBBF Board for 2009-2011 is as follows:

A new beginning and change within KLBBF

The governing and promoting body for the sport of bodybuilding in the
Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur

As the Federation present Honorary Secretary, I have personally embarked on a mission to organise more bodybuilding championships from this year onwards, starting with the Inter-Gym & Clubs WP KL Bodybuilding Championships and also encouraging our club affiliates to organise their own programs...either by themselves or joint with other club affiliates. This way, there will be more contests either at the state level or club level.

After the successful completion of Mr. KL 2009, we are again in the midst of organising another championships. The Inter-Gym and Clubs WP KL Bodybuilding Championships (Dec 13) will be the new addition and will be held at at OCM Indoor Sports Arena, 3rd Floor, OCM Indoor Sports Complex, Jalan Hang Jebat, 50150 Kuala Lumpur. Further details will be posted here.

With this championship, KLBBF would be organising two contest annually to encourage more participation among bodybuilders and newbies. Seminars and workshops too wll be planned for the year also.

I would encourage those who visited here to leave constructive comments, suggestions and other ideas that would help to developed this sport to a greater height.

PS:
My own wish-list includes a Pro division contest (simultaneous creating a pro division wing within KLBBF), a wheelchair bodybuilding contest and the re-introduction of Women Bodybuilding. Keep your fingers crossed.

Berita dari Meja Setiausaha Kehormat Persekutuan Bina Badan Kuala Lumpur (KLBBF)

Jilid 1: Kejohanan Bina Badan Kebangsaan Ke-40, 2009

Tidak lama lagi kejohanan bina badan terulung di Malaysia akan diadakan di Johor Baru - Kejohanan Bina Badan Kebangsaan ke-40 atau lebih dikenali sebagai Mr. Malaysia.

Buat masa ini, pasukan KL dibawah jurulatih En. Abdul Halim Budin yang sedang memantau dan memberi nasihat kepada atlet-atlet Kuala Lumpur. Setiap orang dari pasukan KL telah diberi makanan sukan tambahan (Whey Protein, L-Glutamine & Amino Acid) oleh KLBBF.

Kejohanan ini juga akan menampilkan sejumlah besar atlet-atlet bina badan yang baru serta lama (dari 13 negeri + 2 majlis sukan - PDRM & ATM) untuk merebut gelaran Mr. Malaysia (juara kategori serta juara keseluruhan kejohanan) dan mereka yang menang akan diberi peluang mewakili Malaysia ke Kejohanan Antarabangsa tahun ini oleh Persekutuan Bina Badan Malaysia.

Adalah harapan saya serta jurulatih kami, En. Abdul Halim Budin untuk Pasukan KL tahun ini dapat dinobatkan sebagai Pasukan Terbaik Kejohanan, memandangkan keputusan terbaik Pasukan KL ialah di Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (2007) ialah di tempat ke-3.
